Job Summary: The essential duties are to perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform minor repairs of buildings & equipment as applicable and needed
- Make recommendations for major repairs of building & equipment as applicable and needed
- Cleans and inspects light coverings and remove bugs or debris. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Ensures all soap and sanitizer dispensers are full and in working condition
- Monitors and test emergency lights monthly and annually, schedule service, maintain logs
- Monitors fire extinguishers monthly, schedule annual service and maintain logs
- Monitor exit lights, schedule repairs as applicable, maintain logs
- Ensure infection control requirements (janitorial care) are met
- Move furniture and equipment, setup and breakdown cubicles as needed for cleaning
- Identify projects that require higher skilled crafts’ services
- Carryout detail evaluation of equipment to ensure that they are in good condition for proper functioning
- Carryout repairs to light fixtures; replacing ballast as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements and Preferences:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must have the ability to work with cleaning machines & tools
- Have good knowledge of electricity, carpentry and plumbing among other technical skills
- Have good knowledge of troubleshooting techniques in order to determine exact problems and tackle them accordingly
- Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both supervisor and/or management for proper understanding
- Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others
- 2-3 years of experience highly preferred
- Certifications highly preferred
- Valid CDL highly preferred
