Hi, I'm Shannon Marcourt, Operating Room Nurse Manager. I wanted to take a few minutes to explain how teamwork works in our OR. Anyone that's currently in an OR working knows that to work in the OR, it's a team sport. For it to be successful, everyone has to work together for the common goal of one patient. Anyone that's never worked in the OR, it's a great opportunity within a specialty where you're providing care for one patient at a time, with an entire team there supporting you, as well. We have the opportunity to collaborate with a surgeon, surgical technologist, resident, first assistant and anesthesia provider, all around one patient to provide the best care in each patient's surgical experience. Our OR, we have opportunities for experienced RNs, surgical technologists, we also have several fellowship tracks for RN fellowship, which is for anyone without OR experience, RNFA fellowship tracks and CSTFA fellowships.
