QUALIFICATIONS
- Treat all patients courteously and professionally. All patients by all HIPAA guidelines
- Review the schedule at the front desk and call each patient in order
- Use a wheelchair to safely transport any patients that need assistance
- Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, subordinates, and other departments as required.
- Report any patient complaints immediately to the Chief Radiologic Technologist.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
- Knowledge of safety requirements within the department.
- Skills in obtaining patient information via the computer.
- Skills in maintaining professional relationships with patients, family members, and the public.
- Requires a high school diploma.
- Responsible for positioning patients on MRI table, Exam Charting, and uploading patient reports
- ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office will be in MRI Suite, Pacemakers or Implants that could be impacted are not allowed in this area.
- Warning, Employees in this environment are in direct contact with high power MRI magnet
The Radiology Assistant is responsible for transporting patients from the waiting room, radiology, and patient room, and tracking all incoming and outgoing patient films.
