Registered Nurse

General Job Summary:

The RN is considered a leader in providing quality patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act. The RN must demonstrate compassion for those who are disabled and exhibit sensitivity to cultural, and ethnic diversity. Must be currently licensed as a RN in the State of Louisiana and possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification

Job Description:

A Registered Nurse provides patient care effectively using the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act. The RN effectively delegates, directs and assist other clinical licensed staff and ancillary team members.The RN assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes and functions as a shift Charge Nurse working under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Job Duties:

• RN's evaluate patient's and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of each patient and their family
• RN's effectively communicate with physicians and therapist regarding care plans and patient responses to treatment and plan of care
• The RN delegates and manages the nursing team and serves as liaison and participant on the Interdisciplinary Team
• The RN provides direct patient care including admitting and discharging patients
• Other related duties as required

The RN will work 12 hour shifts from 7pm to 7am nights ----------Good pay and benefits.
