The Prison Programs Office of Judson College at Southeastern is seeking a qualified candidate for Site Coordinator of the Wake County Extension Center. This full-time position fulfills weekly hours on-campus at Judson College (primary) and on-site at the extension center (secondary). - JOB TITLE: Site Coordinator for Wake County Extension Center (WCEC)
- DEPARTMENT: Prison Programs

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To coordinate and execute the delivery of a theological bachelor’s degree program for incarcerated women and champion student success from matriculation to graduation at the Wake County Extension Center (WCEC) at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women (NCCIW).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary point of contact and College liaison for the respective extension center, as well as with state administrators where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain systems and processes for student success in conjunction with the Director of Prison Programs.
- Coordinate and maintain all required academic and site standards for the respective extension center. This responsibility includes but is not limited to the execution of mechanisms by which to measure and track student success (Student Success Plans, tutoring, Library oversite, Textbooks, Moodle platforms and forums, classroom supplies, etc.).
- Provide regular communication for professors respective to the extension center (student success, classroom needs, etc.)
- Ensure the viability of Pell Grant distribution to the extension site by coordinating and collecting annual applications, information and records in conjunction with the SEBTS Financial Aid Office.
- Ensure all annual site-related accreditation responsibilities are accomplished with accuracy and timeliness.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that students of the program are provided spiritual care when appropriate and in accordance with NCDAC standards.
- Work with the Associate Director and/or Director to recruit and enroll students to new cohorts as needed.
- Work with the Associate Director and/or Director to execute all special events related to Prison Programs including convocation, graduation, new student orientation and faculty training as needed.
- Receive and respond to all respective site correspondence, including from current students, prospective students, and the facility.
- Maintain respective site student records.
- Other tasks or projects may be assigned by the Director and/or Associate Director of Prison Programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direction to all College faculty at respective extension center. This responsibility includes but is not limited to serving as the main point of contact for faculty on site, acclimating new faculty to the prison facility, and assisting them as needed.
- Coordinate volunteers and/mentors who provide tutoring or mentoring to students.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Master’s Degree obtained or in-progress; terminal degree in related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) required.
- Ability to clearly communicate with students, faculty, and staff.
- Knowledge of degree program offered at respective extension center.
- Knowledge of SACS and ATS accreditation standards preferred – especially as it relates to faculty qualifications and reporting mechanisms.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Responsible for tracking all classroom supplies, textbook purchases, and travel expenditures relative to respective extension center.
EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT
- Extensive internal contact with Prison Programs team.
- Regular internal contact with SEBTS support offices located on the main campus of Wake Forest.
- Extensive contact with appropriate extension center staff.
- Extensive contact with potential adjunct faculty.
- Some contact with related state agencies.
- Limited contact with external funders.
- Limited contact with program directors at other Higher Education in Prison programs as needed (special emphasis on other Field Minister Programs).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- General health as required for demands of job.
- Extensive amount of walking.
- Semi-regular lifting and carrying of books and supplies for classrooms, library and events.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
- Must have access to reliable transportation and be willing to travel to NCDAC facilities on a regular basis, including transporting professor to and from the extension center.
- Must be willing to interacting in a close manner with incarcerated populations.
