The Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the Community Manager in the general administration and physical operation of the apartment community. A strong emphasis should be placed on leasing of the community in order to ensure an acceptable rental occupancy level is maintained.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be friendly, a fast learner and self-motivated.
- At least one year leasing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Ability to conduct yourself, both at work and off duty, in a manner that does not adversely affect the image of the community.
- Ability to maintain a professional image and attitude in keeping with the objectives of the community and the residents' welfare.
- Ability to respect residents' privacy and maintain confidentiality of all aspects of the community.
- Ability to lead and motivate others in the absence of the Community Manager. The ability and willingness to accept and follow the directions of others.
- Possession of character traits of honesty, dependability, courtesy and cooperativeness.
- Ability to comply with all governmental laws and regulations, including but not limited to fair housing, environmental and safety laws and regulations.
- Ability to comply with all community policies and procedures.
- Must be able to communicate well with residents and applicants orally and in writing. Some responsibilities include filing, answering phones, processing applications and backing up the manager with other day-to-day tasks.
- Must have valid driver's license, proper automobile liability insurance and dependable transportation that is in good operating condition.
- Drug test and background check required; weekends required.
