Full time position (on site and NOT REMOTE)
Well-established OB/Gyn Practice looking for a Medical Billing Specialist . You will be working in a team environment. Excellent opportunity for the right person. Responsibilities include a wide variety of tasks related to the billing and collections of the practice. Ob/gyn and Greenway medical software experience is a plus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- In-depth understanding of overall coding and billing cycle
- Verifying insurance benefits…checking eligibility and benefits
- Contacting insurance companies regarding any discrepancies (claim denials/rejections).
- Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.
- Reviewing accounts for insurance and patient follow-up.
- Researching and working insurance denials
- Maintaining timely follow-up of claim
- Researching and resolving patient/insurance billing issues
- Initiating patient contact regarding any insurance denials or other issues with payment.
Job Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive, friendly, polite personality
- Excellent computer skills
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Physician office experience preferred
- 2 years coding and billing experience (ICD-10 and CPT Coding)
