College Credit Broadcasting Internship

 Southern Maryland Blue Crabs No. 2 Broadcaster and Media Relations Assistant- For College Credit Only The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are looking for someone who wants to continue to gain broadcasting experiences by being the Blue Crabs no. 2 broadcaster and media relations assistant. This position will be for College Credit only, and they will help broadcast every home game starting in mid-May until the student returns to college in August. 

Responsibilities: 
● On-air for all home games, play-by-play in three innings every game 
● Assist in Pre and Postgame show 
● Conduct interviews with players/coaches for broadcast or social media/ website 
● Print and deliver stat packages, rosters, and anything that is needed for press box and coaching staff
 ● Help construct game notes before games 
● Prepare and collect starting lineups from both managers in a timely fashion 
● Write press releases, update team roster online, and potential social media postings 
● Write post-game story for team website and social media 

Requirements: 
● Previous play-by-play experience 
● Solid writing skills 
● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, google drive, and social media 
● Must be available for all home games in SOMD 

Submissions should include: 
● Reel of uncut baseball play-by-play 
● Writing sample (postgame recap, game notes, press release)
