Job Summary:
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations of our Gypsy Kitchen restaurant. They will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement menus that are innovative and appealing to customers
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all food service needs are met
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and ingredients
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
