Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our pediatric care team. This role is essential to creating a positive first impression for families and ensuring our office runs smoothly. The ideal candidate brings professionalism, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for working with children and families.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and families with warmth, positivity, and professionalism
- Manage appointment scheduling and answer incoming calls with a friendly, helpful approach
- Provide exceptional customer service, helping families feel supported and cared for
- Verify insurance, process co‑pays, and assist families with understanding insurance benefits
- Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Support daily office operations including filing, faxing, scanning, and other administrative tasks
- Uphold HIPAA standards and protect patient privacy
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance and consistent punctuality
Experience & Skills
- Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric care or medical terminology is a plus
- Comfortable managing multiple phone lines and working with computers
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask gracefully
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is helpful
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- A team‑oriented mindset with a positive, can‑do attitude
