Southgate at Shrewsbury is a continuing care retirement community looking for a Reception Desk Manager to join our team. Southgate at Shrewsbury is a beautiful work environment. Located one mile from Routes 9, 20 and 140.

A full-time (40 hours/week) opportunity for a professional who works well with seniors and is a team player. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM – 4PM. Holidays are required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming telephone calls and direct them accordingly.
  • Greet Residents, family members, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and assist/direct them accordingly.
  • Receive, sign for, sort, and log all mail and packages that get delivered.
  • Set up transportation requests for Resident appointments.
  • Oversee drivers and part-time receptionists.
  • Maintain the desk in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Respond to emergency situations by contacting the appropriate staff members and/or 911 if necessary.
  • Update the Communication Book on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and update the Policy & Procedure Binder as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic telephone systems and office equipment (copy, fax, and postage machines).
  • Knowledge of computer programs necessary for the position (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Skilled at multitasking and ability to handle all incoming phone calls and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Provide clerical support and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • The ability to respond calmly to emergency situations is essential.
  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is essential.
  • Focused and dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

Salary : $41,800 - $53,000
