Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity.
- Review projects to focus on equipment and manpower; review job costs and equipment utilization reports. Plan and review projects with Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents.
- Oversee the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges and other related structures, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment regularly for repairs, proper utilization, and to address any signs of abuse or neglect.
- Actively participate in safety-related training programs to enhance skills and knowledge base.
- Perform job site quality control checks to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications.
- Ensure quality assurance in all phases of work, including setting forms, rebar installation, concrete placement, and post-tensioning (if applicable).
- Monitor job site operations for compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards, including dust and noise control.
- Actively promote a safety-conscious culture, following all safety regulations and mentoring crew members, particularly new hires.
- High School education is required.
- 5 years of experience as a Foreman in bridge construction or related heavy civil work.
- Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, including forming, reinforcing, and concrete placement.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment used in bridge construction is a plus.
