The prestigious Southpointe Golf Club celebrating 30 years of business in 2024, is currently looking for Professional Bartenders to join their 2024 season.
The ideal Bartender candidate will be a guest-centric, motivated, and passionate team member with a deep knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer, as well as good time management and social / people skills. Our bartenders will be expected to provide outstanding service and experiences to members time and time again, while remaining professional and dedicated to service standards. Continued on-site training and development is a must, with attention specifically on cocktails, spirits, and wine. Our bartenders will strive to go above and beyond industry norms and attempt to create memorable, consistent, and responsible experiences for club members.
- Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving lunch, dinner, and drinks
- Assessing member needs and preferences, making recommendations
- Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages members
- Following guidelines and beverage program outlines as described by ownership and management.
- Interacting with Club Members, carrying appropriate conversations, and enforcing club rules in order to maintain excellent service for all of the club.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Learn about, and mix, ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Plan and present bar menu.
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
- Correctly process member ID payments as per club policy.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Notify ownership or management of any specific issues relating to the bar area, bar service, inventory, or practices that cause concern.
- Responsibly serve alcohol to members.
Requirements:
- Resume and 3 years proven working experience as a bartender.
- Excellent knowledge of building, preparing, and serving drinks.
- Extensive understanding of cocktail and wine history, as well as current trends in the Bar industry.
- POS knowledge and capability.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
- Relevant training certificate.
- RAMP certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend twist, and use stairs.
The Southpointe Golf Club is conveniently located off of I-79 through Southpointe's own interchange, Exit 48.
