What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Delivery Driver position at Southport Truck Group?
Parts Delivery drivers are the front line to most of our customers. From taking orders to picking up parts as needed from the customers, the driver is front and center. If you are a people person that likes to drive, this is a great spot for you.
Essential Duties
- Verifying and labeling orders for delivery to customers
- Loading vehicle with parts to ensure safety and access to load according to stops
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout shift
- Safely drive and delivery parts to customers
- Pickup returns from customers and document all necessary information
- Handle and process payments from customers as needed
- Build and develop relationships with customers to help drive growth
- Assist in the parts warehouse, as needed
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurance guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier
- Computer literate with the willingness to learn the software programs utilized by the Company
