Reports to:
Consumer Loan Operations Manager
Summary of the Job: Processes loan documents using approved policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:

• Process various types of loans, collecting and disseminating all appropriate information.
• Verify coding on all loans is appropriate to the transaction.
• Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
• Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation.
• Checks documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.
• Performs duties requiring knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and financial institution products and services. Uses office computers for data input and other activities.
• Responds to telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information.
• Take information from a variety of sources and input into designated computer programs with a high degree of accuracy.
• Order additional information from outside sources on an as needed basis.
• Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information.

Additional Functions:

• Perform routine duties with minimal supervision using standard practices or procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Activity/Dexterity:

• Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Physical Environment Demands:

• Stand, sit and walk.
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Climb or balance.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• See, hear, speak, read and write.

Working Conditions/Environment:

• Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
• Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Work Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Must be available for a rotational Saturday once a month.
• Available for overtime as needed.
