Production Manufacturing Associate

Job Title: Soldering Assembler- Experienced Required

Department: Production Department

Reports To: Production Supervisor Salary/Pay Range: $19-22/hour DOE

Location: OUR ADDRESS IS 10939 Technology Place, San Diego CA 92127. Please only apply if location is suitable for your commute requirements.

As required by company need job hours may fall in one of the following:
Full time: 40 hours /week (overtime may be required) Monday - Friday Day Shift

Part Time: Minimum of 16 hours a week. Flexible schedule.

Shift: 6am-2:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting with the assembly of the company’s products within prescribed specifications and if applicable, through efficient machine operations by performing some or all the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DAILY TASKS:

1. Ability to read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions (verbal and written).
2. Ability to operate production machines to produce parts in accordance with the company’s established standards and guidelines.

3. Proper use of hand tools required.

4. Bring quality issues to the attention of lead and/or manager for further direction.
5. Ability to notice any workmanship defects or flaws in the produced parts and report them immediately to management is required.
6. Detect and report any machine or tool malfunctions.
7. Prepare parts for painting and / or shipping to include gluing, taping and cleaning.
8. Adhere to safety requirements, and cleanliness of the work areas.
9. Document production activities as requested.
10. Other related tasks may be assigned such as counting, packaging, labeling or bagging the produced parts or the raw material in preparation for kitting.
11. Ability to work independently and within a team.

12. Soldering experience is required.

13. Soldering Connectors, Surface Mount Components, Thru-Hole, etc.

14. Micro Component Soldering using Microscope (Preferred Experience) 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206 sized components.

15. Understanding of a schematic is preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

1. Prior soldering experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities
1. Adequate Math, Reading & Reasoning Ability – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to read and understand assembly instructions and interpret product drawings. Ability to understand to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
2. Basic computer skills to understand and navigate company software program.
2. Strong Attention to Detail.
3. Individual is expected to have good verbal and written communications skills.
4. Organizational skills; Planning skills; Time Management skills.
5. Manual dexterity with the ability to maintain daily / weekly quota by working quickly and accurately.
6. Positive Attitude
7. Ability to work overtime.
8. Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. Citizenship required.

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift/and or more up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and the ability to see color. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, work near ventilated and exhaust equipped soldering stations and some solvents and chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
