About the Patient Service Specialist Role:

· Answer phones and direct them to the appropriate doctors or staff members. Schedule and/or cancel appointments.

· Prep charts for the following days by verifying insurance benefits.

· Greet patients to check in and out. Review paperwork with patients and take copies of insurance cards. Enter demographic and insurance information in software.

· Collect co-pays, co-insurances, contact lens evaluation fees, and any other payments due at the time of service. Post charges and payments in system.

· File and scan other paperwork as needed.

-Support optician and be available to adjust and repair glasses as needed.

· Responsible for keeping waiting area and patient areas neat and tidy. Empty trash, vacuum, and wipe down surfaces to ensure a clean office.

· Other duties including ordering contacts.

· Travel to other offices required.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours:

Monday (9-5)

Tuesday (10-7)

Wednesday (8:30-1)

Friday (12-5)

1/Saturday monthly in Chaska (8-12)

You meet these requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: One location

Salary : $16 - $18
