Shop Technician
Title: Shop Technician Job Type: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Department: Service Location: Commerce City, CO 80022
Supervisor: Service Manager
SUMMARY
As Shop Technician for Southwest JCB, you will be an integral service department member. The shop technician will diagnose and repair various JCB equipment and components in a shop environment, including diagnosing, ordering parts, customer and warranty reporting, customer communications, and maintaining company assets. The position’s primary focus is to [perform quality maintenance, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment] while providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair equipment and components.

Properly source and order parts to get the repair fixed the first time correctly.

Work in a shop environment on various JCB machines.

Perform preventative maintenance on JCB equipment in a shop environment as directed.

Communicate the progress of repairs with the Service Manager and the customer to ensure top customer satisfaction.

Use of company vehicles and special tooling properly, including maintaining all company-owned assets in a clean and safe manner

Completing all paperwork promptly, including work orders, parts orders, time, etc.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Other duties and projects as assigned by direct management.

Education/Additional Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
- Computer literate with the ability to process information.
- Ability to communicate, prioritize and maintain time management.
- Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
- Physically able to perform duties and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Maintain a great attitude toward work.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and practices as required.
- Acceptable driving record.
- A history of safe work habits.
- Driven, self-motivated, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Valid Driver’s License/Acceptable Driving Record.
Wage Range:
Apprentice [Tech Level 1] – Entry level with 0 – 3 years’ experience
$17.00 – $23.00
Technician [Tech Level 2] – Mid level with 3 – 5 years’ experience
$22.73 – $30.18 / hour
Journeyman (Tech Level 3] – Master level with 5 – 10 years’ experience
$30.00 - $50.00
Salary : $22 - $50
