Position Summary:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Dental Director/Dentist, this position prepares patient for dental examination. Assists in providing patient care within the appropriate scope of practice to a diverse patient population.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a school in dental assisting preferred
- License/Certification: Must obtain current BLS certification if not held at time of hire, must pass RHS test within 6 months of hire if not held at time of hire
- Experience: One-year prior experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Wage will be determined by experience
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
General office/clinic conditions are pleasant; good, clean working conditions where accident and hazards are negligible; requires long periods of standing and use of upper extremities, short periods of moderate lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to twenty pounds. Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with the staff and public. Requires finger dexterity, near vision, and arm-hand steadiness.
The position is based in Dillon; however, position responsibilities may require travel to Butte on occasion. Use of a personal vehicle is required for travel; therefore, a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and registration is required.
OSHA Classification I: Normal work routine involves potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood and/or body fluids; use of appropriate protective measures is required.
