Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Swage Technician to join our team. The Swage Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining swaging equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires expertise in handling heated materials, operating presses, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Operate swage presses and other equipment to shape metal components.
- Monitor heater temperatures and heating cycles to ensure proper material properties.
- Perform die changes, tooling setups, and adjustments to meet production requirements.
- Inspect swage parts for quality, ensuring they meet company and customer specifications.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions.
- Follow safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Identify and troubleshoot process issues, working closely with maintenance and quality teams.
- Assist with routine maintenance of swage equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train on plate loading, shoulder loading, forklift, and downstacking operations.
What you need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to stand, bend walk and drive forklift throughout the day
- Withstand high temperatures for a long period of time
- Be able to life or move at least 40lbs
