Fast paced Food Service Distributor is currently seeking experienced Receiving Clerk for our Temecula Distribution Center. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, organized, team player. The ability to manage multiple tasks, lead multiple teams and work under tight deadlines is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all Receiving Functions within the warehouse/distribution facility. All of our facilities include ambient, refrigerated and frozen environments.
Scope of Work: Includes, but is not limited to:
· Hands-on daily operations of the entire facility, including 20 team members in a 30K square foot Food Service Distribution Center.
· Knowledge of warehousing, receiving and distribution, as well as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) documentation and management.
· Lead and communicate goals; team objectives and priorities. Processing of orders, loading of trucks within time constraints. Problem solving to
include team member development and coaching. Measure and analyze key performance indicators; fill-rate, perfect order and productivity
reports.
· Focus on error reductions in receiving and shipping teams. Achieve "Superior" ratings for any regulatory facility inspections, (AIB, ASI, State Health,
FDA etc.) Open and professional communications to/from other areas of company (i.e. Human Resources Information Systems, Sales, Finance,
Marketing and
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Support Managers and Supervisors with overseeing the daily activities of 20 team members working in the warehouse
· Ensure that goals, objectives and priorities are being met by team members
· Maintain accurate inventory records
· Review errors and work to reduce them through coaching and development of team members
· Support warehouse management with preparation for AIB, ASI, FDA and other audits as needed
· Perform safety training and review equipment for maintenance needs
· Perform various other tasks as deemed necessary by your supervisor.
· Responsible for scheduling all inbound loads
· Communicate with outside carriers
· Processing will calls and FedEx as required
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· 2 years in a Leadership role related to warehouse, operations and Distribution
· Food Service experience is highly preferred
· Experience working with Oracle or similar WMS type of software
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook
· Excellent math and analytical skills
· Good manual dexterity; Standing, walking, lifting, (up to 50 pounds) twisting, and bending on a frequent basis
· Advanced leadership skills
· The ability to react to day-to-day operational requirements in a professional and timely manner
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills along with the ability to provide clear and concise details regarding cause and effect, both
verbally and in written form
· High degree of attention to detail in all job functions
· Ability to follow instructions and set the example on safe use of all industrial lift equipment
· Ability to perform tasks with industrial lifts in a safe and effective manner
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of workforce
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Associates Degree preferred. Must have high school diploma. A combination of education with relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree
