About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Sovah Health Danville. Our hospital is a 250-bed academic teaching site with the region's only designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
A registered nurse license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State.
A graduate degree in professional nursing or equivalent experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Telemetry: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association certification required.

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
