Role Description

This is a 2nd Shift, Full-time, on-site role located in Gardena, CA for a Centerless Grinder Operator. The Centerless Grinder Operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting and operating machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal workpieces to blueprint specifications, following tooling instructions and standard charts. They will also inspect machined workpieces for conformance to specifications, and adjust machines as needed for product attributes and property specifications.

• Familiar with Cincinnati or Cinco15
• Mount grinding wheel and regulating wheel on spindles.
• Manual feeding grinding machines.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials in grinding operations and inspection of machined parts
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions, and use measuring tools to check parts.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
• Able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and perform repetitive motions.
• Certifications in machining or related areas is a plus.
• Basic Math

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
