Position Summary
Space Source is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to support the company’s financial operations. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and communicating with tenants about billing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of QuickBooks, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A background in real estate or property management is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process and track rent payments from tenants
- Prepare and issue invoices
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare reports and assist in budgeting
- Communicate with tenants regarding account balances and billing inquiries
- Track vendor payments and ensure timely bill pay
- Support the preparation of documentation for tax filings and audits
- Assist with general administrative and office support as needed
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
- Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience (experience in real estate or property management a plus)
- Proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks (required)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
