Under the direction of a designated mentor, the Welding Apprentice will be trained in welding preparation including:
- MIG welding
- Robotic Welding
- Metal Finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings and specifications
Essential Functions:
- Follow all Spacesaver safety policies and procedures
- Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Understand and practice 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
Required Skills
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a youth apprenticeship program through high school or college curriculum
- Enrolled in or taken Technical Education courses associated with welding and/or fabrication
- Ability to work Monday through Thursday beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m.
