Spare Time Texas is a locally owned Texas-based entertainment company specializing in bowling, arcade, laser tag, dining, and events. The company first opened its doors in Temple, TX in 2013. The second center opened in Pflugerville, TX in December 2015. We strive to provide outstanding facilities, outstanding products and outstanding service at a fair price for the communities we serve.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the General Manager; Interfaces with local businesses, guests, team members, and other management staff.
MAJOR FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the General Manager, this position will be responsible for generating group sales, building relationships with community organizations and businesses, and promoting the Company for events, parties, and corporate gatherings. The company estimates between 50%-70% of this position
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities, including schools, churches, corporate groups, youth organizations, and other local partners.
- Conduct in-person sales visits, cold calls, and presentations to promote event packages and group outings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects.
- Attend Chamber networking events, community expos, and trade shows to build awareness and generate leads.
- Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure successful execution of group events.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and follow up on leads in a timely manner.
- Represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, or events.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Knowledge of local community organizations and schools.
- Experience in the entertainment or amusement industry.
- Event planning or coordination background.
- Utilize personal vehicle to travel locally an estimated 50%-70% of the work day
