Project Manager / Business Analyst

SPARGO, Inc. is a small, fast paced company that is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our Product Development Team. This hybrid role blends business analysis expertise with hands-on project management in support of software applications used by customers worldwide. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with experience gathering requirements, leading Agile ceremonies, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality digital products. This role is primarily remote, with occasional meetings in our Reston, VA office.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of web and software applications developed for internal and external clients.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, define project scope, and establish milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize and execute deliverables.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and communicate project risks, track issues, and manage change requests.
- Monitor project progress and resource allocation; provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful rollout of product enhancements.
Business Analysis:
- Elicit, document, and manage requirements from stakeholders using interviews, document reviews, and use cases.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories and functional specifications.
- Evaluate and improve business processes related to Nextgen and legacy applications.
- Create supporting artifacts such as process flows, sequence diagrams, and system overview decks.
- Participate in product demos and stakeholder presentations.
- Perform verification testing and regression testing; consolidate test results and report findings to clients and internal teams.
- Provide end-user support, analyze incidents, and recommend process/system improvements.
- Create and maintain training materials for internal and external users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of IT experience with a blend of business analysis and software project management responsibilities.
- PMP certification (required); IIBA-CBAP or PMI-PBA (preferred).
- Proven experience managing Agile software development projects.
- Proficient with project management and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and technical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
- E-commerce systems experience is a plus.
- Prior experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Location & Travel:
- Hybrid role: Remote work with occasional on-site meetings in Reston, VA.
- No travel required.
