Spartan Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Columbus, OH. We specialize in a unique logistics model: We own and operate our own warehouses, fleet, forklifts, and other key equipment. We have decades of experience in fast-moving inventory, especially food and beverages, and also are veteran handlers of glass, paper, automotive supplies, and more. With our staff of more than 350, we operate over 3 million square feet of warehouse space strategically placed throughout Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas.
We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to manage one of our Toledo, OH location. The position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.
What You'll be Doing as a Warehouse Manager:
- Manage day-to-day operations of warehouse, including freight, returns, receiving, parcels and transfers.
- Lead and develop warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations
- Operating mechanical and IT systems
- Liaising with customers and other departments
- Training, supervising and appraising staff
- Maintaining statistical and financial records
- Planning
- Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
- Managing budgets
- Administering inventory control
Requirements
- Good character and integrity!
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in related field and/or at least 5 years’ experience in a warehouse leadership role.
- Expertise in warehouse distribution.
- Display strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong time management skills; demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of writing PNL statements.
- Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects/tasks simultaneously.
