Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement solutions within the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and HBase.
- Manage and optimize the on-prem Hadoop infrastructure for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Facilitate the migration of existing Hadoop workloads to cloud platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to foster quality deliverables.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Jupyter and other ETL tools.
- Utilize Linux for basic system operations and maintenance.
- Participate in agile development processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the delivery of projects with a focus on first-time-right and zero defects in production
Qualifications
- Senior-level experience with a minimum of 10 years in the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase, HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Jupyter, and ETL tools.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operations.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in agile development methodology is a plus.
- Proven ability to conduct code reviews and mentor team members.
