Spearman High School is in search of a Health Science Technology LVN/Instructional Aide for the 2023-2024 school year. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for Master degree. District pays $400 per month towards applicants health insurance.
Campus Description:
Spearman High School is a class 3A school district with approximately 206 students on the campus (Grades 9-12)
Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in Health Science to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competecies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas license issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners required
Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively (verb and written)
Experience:
Prefer long term care experience
Prefer one year experience in health-related position
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of studnts
- Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, collegues and community members
- Comply with state, district and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers
