What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elem RTI Reading Teacher position at Spearman ISD?
Gus Birdwell Elementary is in search of RTI Reading teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for Master degree. District pays $400 per month towards applicants health insurance.
Primary Purpose:
Provide students the strategies and support that focuses on effective instructional and behavioral practices related to the specific needs of each student, based on a Response to Intervention (RtI) framework.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree;
Valid Texas Teacher Certification with Special Reading Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Working knowledge and understanding of the Response to Intervention (RtI) process, at-risk supports, and literacy development
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide research-based, direct instruction in small intervention groups
- Work collaboratively with grade level team on the appropriate use of data in making educational decisions
- Faciliate the coordination of school wide and individual student progress monitoring data
- Follow IARS guidelines and procedures
- Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers
- Other assigned duties
