What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Manager/Lead Staff position at Specialized Support Services, Inc.?
Specialized Support Services, Inc. is under new management and is looking to strengthen its St. Joseph operation by hiring one House Manager/Lead Staff to manage one of our Individualized Supported Living (ISL) environments in St. Joseph. The House Manager/Lead Staff will support the Director and Professional Managers in supervising the ISLs and the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide primary supports for our consumers in implementing their Individual Plans and Activities of Daily Living. The House Manager/Lead Staff will support consumers and DSPs by supervising DSPs as appropriate and ensure that ISLs run efficiently by taking responsibility for meal planning, grocery shopping and paying consumer bills, among other responsibilities.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; prior DSP experience; a good driving record and car insurance; the ability to pass a state-mandated background check; and the desire to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing domestic, social, health, safety and emotional support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
