We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage all financial activities, ensuring that our financial operations and reporting align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in financial forecasting and budgeting, and a commitment to maintaining and enforcing internal controls and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily bank and credit card reconciliations
- Positing monthly journal entries, responsible for creating all support schedules for the month end reporting
- Entering the accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Create the monthly revenue journal entries and posting it to the accounting software
- Assist in audit and tax reporting
- Preferred Loan company accounting experience with the ability to create Asset and Liabilities roll forwards.
- Assisting the Controller with variance analysis, preparing the flux analysis for month over month reporting
- Managing the balance sheet schedules, prepaid analysis, weekly borrowing base calculations
- Creating periodic reports, such as Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements and Cash flow statements
- Assisting the broader finance team with ad hoc requests
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
- 2 years of experience in finance/accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial software, and Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team leadership and cross-departmental collaboration.
