We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
- Oversee inventory management, including tracking stock levels, ordering parts, and maintaining accurate records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Source high-quality parts from reliable suppliers while negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
- Collaborate with the automotive service team to understand their needs and ensure timely availability of necessary parts.
- Implement best practices for inventory control to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure a steady supply of parts.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Provide training and support to team members regarding parts management processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to auto body repair and automotive service is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in sourcing, negotiating, and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and CMMS software is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
