What are the responsibilities and job description for the One (1) Courthouse Paternity Testing Clinic per Month - Ruston, LA position at SPECIMEN SPECIALISTS OF AMERICA, INC.?
Our company is looking for the right candidate to service as one of our primary DNA collectors at the Lincoln Parish Courthouse in Ruston, LA. The main role as DNA collector will be conducting paternity tests (buccal swab) for families who have pending child support cases through the Monroe Region Department of Child Support Enforcement. This is an extremely part time position and and also a great opportunity to provide a needed service for families in and around Lincoln county.
Having a medical background is preferred but not required for this position. Applicants should have great customer service skills and work well in a team environment, yet be able to work independently. Applicants must be reliable, professional, and have a great attitude. All staff will receive complete online and over-the-phone training and supplies needed for this position.
- DRAW SITE: Lincoln Parish Courthouse
- RECURRING SCHEDULE: One (1) Wednesday per month; 9:00am-1:00pm (schedule for the year is provided in advance)
- START DATE: 8/13/2025

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform cheek swab (buccal) specimen collection
- Take photos and ink prints of all clients
- Complete a Chain of Custody Form for each clients
- Ensure specimens are properly and accurately labeled
- Ship samples through FedEx at the end of the day (shipping supplies provided)
- Keep track of inventory and submit supply orders as needed
- Able to work with the public and be professional
