Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Spectra-Mat, Inc. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical assembly procedures, including the assembly and packaging of products according to specifications. You will need the ability to read and interpret engineering print packages, exercise proper judgment, and learn to produce a wide variety of jobs, many of which are complex in design. Much of this learning will be through on-the-job training (OJT) and observation.
This is a full-time position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities:
-Reads and interprets assembly and component blueprint drawings and packages.
-Ability to interpret and implement processing instructions and complete documenation associated with the procedures.
-Receives general instructions on new assignments.
-Maintaining a low level of scrap.
Operates high temperature hydrogen atmosphere furnaces for the following assembly procedures: Assembles button/body component parts by using brazing procedures.
-Assembles units with heaters by using potting procedures.
-Familiar with all furnace operations inculuding the calibration of the furnaces.
-Enters accurate information on assembly records, logs, and other report forms.
-Uses personal documentation for review and use during repat procedures.
-Aptitude to adjust to changes in process improvements or instruction udates.
-Other duties as required/assigned
- Perform assembly tasks, including but not limited to, mechanical assembly, fabricating, soldering, and packaging
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure products are assembled correctly
- Adhere to FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines
- Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate product dimensions
- Operate machinery and equipment related to plastics injection molding
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment is preferred
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines is a plus
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to fabricate and solder components as needed
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is beneficial
