Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consultation: Meeting with patients to discuss their medical history and current ailments.
- Assessment: Evaluating the patient’s spine, posture, and reflexes to identify issues.
- Treatment Planning: Creating personalized care plans focusing on the patient’s overall health and well-being.
- Manual Adjustments: Performing spinal manipulations and adjustments to improve alignment and alleviate pain.
- Supplemental Treatments: Providing additional therapies such as massage, acupuncture, and hot/cold compresses.
- Lifestyle Advice: Offering guidance on exercise, nutrition, and ergonomics to support overall health
- Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
- Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
- Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to correct the musculoskeletal system.
- Use heat, cold, massage therapy and other methods to treat patients
- Obtain and record patients’ medical histories.
- Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken.
- Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients’ difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
- Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
- Educate patients on the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care.
- Provide a patient with educational resources and a recommended course of treatment
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Chiropractic Required
- Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program
- Current license as a chiropractor in the state of Pennsylvania
- Three or more years of clinical chiropractic work experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
