What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Business Planning Analyst position at SPECTRUM?
This is a senior level position that is responsible for complex analysis of KOMs related to budget, Supply Chain and Field Operations processes. Develops, interprets and implements KOMs that will improve operations and drive effeciencie across the enterprise. Performs analysis to determine present and future financial performance. This role requires thorough understanding of statistical concepts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Prepare and review complex reports & other analysis as required for achieving objectives.
Perform analysis of data trends on to enable team to meet Key Performance Indicators.
Build and deploy models to forecast results.
Utilize analysis to identify cost savings opportunities.
Perform monthly review of KOMs and identify trends.
Drive process improvements and implement best practices around forecasting, budgeting and management reporting; as well as automate, where applicable.
Partner with functional leaders to identify and drive cost savings across the business.
Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
Knowledge of Advanced Accounting theory and procedures
Experience with reporting tools like Tableau or Business Objects
An understanding of statistical modeling using various approaches such as ARIMA, multiple regression or probit/logit.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Business analysis, planning and reporting experience – 5
Experience preparing reconciliations of differing data sets
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Experience creating reports/dashboard which senior leaders can use to drive results.
The ability to use R/Python/Power Query to manipulate large data sets and summarize results.
Prior experience in materials planning and forecasting
