Position Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, tenant leases, and tracking financial reporting for raceway track events.  The Accounting Supervisor reports to the Controller and Senior Vice President of Regional Finance.

Position Responsibility:      

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Create/ maintain files for tenant leases, AR entries (invoicing and cash receipts), and contracts.
• Maintain the tenant rent roll with current lease information and update for monthly CPI increases.
• Process cash receipts and process rebills in the accounting system (Traverse).
• Review AR aging monthly and follow up with tenants and other customers on past-due balances. Work with the Sales Department on delinquent client accounts as needed.
• Provide cash reports for the Controller and VP of Finance weekly.
• Maintain trade contract schedule and charitable donations schedule monthly.
• Collect and report sales activity of Track Rentals and the Racing School.
• Ensure proper COIs are on file and rebill track customers as needed.
• Work with the Payroll Manager on invoicing for COBRA and employee A/R.

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Maintain a log of COIs received from Vendors who come onto the track and follow up as needed. Ensure audit compliance with COIs.

• Process incoming bills in Avid with proper GL Codes.
• Maintain Use Tax Accruals each month and prepare final report each year for Controller review.
• Review GL activity for minor events and track rentals to support Controller in ensuring the revenue and expenses are completely and accurately captured each month.
• Track monthly expenses such as fuel usage, track repair, etc. to assist Controller with accurate recognition of expenses each month.

Requirements:

• Must be highly organized and thrive in a fast pace environment.
• Accurate, detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with an energetic and self-motivated attitude.

• BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
• 2-4 years experience in full-cycle bookkeeping.
• Must be PC proficient. Experience with Open Systems or other large accounting systems is a plus. Must have strong experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work as a team member within the finance department as well as within the organization.  Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Pay:

$95,000 salary
