We're seeking a
Payer Relations Account Manager
to join our team. This role is crucial for developing and managing relationships with assigned accounts. You'll represent our full range of products and services, helping to create, implement, and maintain strategic plans that ensure account retention and growth. This includes managing contract negotiations, analysis, and follow-up to meet all agreement terms.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise Revenue Cycle Coordinators for assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain customer relationships based on trust and excellent results.
- Resolve payer issues and oversee conflict resolution.
- Collaborate on contract negotiations and manage contract reviews and rollouts.
- Gather competitive insights to inform the organization of market challenges and opportunities.
- Proactively identify problems and opportunities for process improvements and develop solutions.
- Identify opportunities for growth through ongoing contact with account representatives and drive related initiatives.
- Promote a patient-centered culture by educating and building rapport with external customers.
- Act as an advocate for external customers by facilitating internal dialogue when necessary.
- Identify payer relations challenges and trends, determine root causes, and seek resolutions.
- Manage credentialing and other contract administration functions.
- Develop and maintain contract summary sheets for assigned accounts.
- Travel up to 15% is required.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of payer relations experience, including navigating revenue cycle processes from prior authorization through denial and appeal management.
- At least 7 years of sales and/or direct customer-facing experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of Commercial, Government, and Self-Insured Health plans and pharmacy benefit managers.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Skilled in payer contract negotiations.
- Understanding of the 340B pricing model is a plus.
- Ability to manage, coach, and develop a team.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems at both a strategic and functional level.
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities with a high degree of initiative.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent foundational mathematical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
