Job Summary:

The Spine Team Texas Physical Therapy Aide assists in execution of physical therapy treatment plans as designated and supervised by an on-site Physical Therapist(s) as defined by the Texas State Board of Physical and Occupational Examiners. Position is responsible for department facility maintenance and clerical duties.  This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas.

Educational Requirements & Position Qualifications:

1. 4 year college degree in Exercise Physiology or related area of study preferred.
2. Certified personal trainer, massage therapist, or athletic trainer background preferred.
3. Must maintain a high level of professional training and development by attending continuing education courses, in-services, and abide by all regulatory guidelines in which membership has been established.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent time management

6. Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.
7. Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
8. Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.

Physical Therapy Aide Responsibilities:

While maintaining and following all professional standards set-forth from the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and by the American Physical Therapy Association, it is the Physical Therapy Aide’s responsibility to assist in conducting patient rehabilitation care within the Physical Therapy Department as well as maintain daily operations of the Physical Therapy clinic.  This position will perform all clerical duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, verifying insurance, faxing, filing, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, and other various duties as assigned. The Physical Therapy Aide must maintain active communication regarding patient status and progress with the Physical Therapist and/or Physical Therapist Assistant.  Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the Spine Team Texas Physical Therapy Manager.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Position may require lifting of patients when necessary while performing daily job functions.  Standing for an extended amount of time while assisting patients with therapy, is required for this position.  The Physical Therapy Aide must be able to work under pressure.  Tasks may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Salary : $29,300 - $37,100
