Bartender - Spoke & Hub

City Group Hospitality is seeking Bartenders with a passion for hospitality and a never-ending desire to grow. The role will be responsible for providing top-notch hospitality for our guests alongside our other team members at our newest location Spoke & Hub. 

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is detail-oriented, customer service-motivated, and sales-minded with the ability to think outside of the box. Candidates must possess knowledge of craft beers, wines, classic cocktails, and bar-tending methodology. Create drinks consistently adhering to company recipes and processes. Individuals who apply must submit a current resume and should have the following skills and attributes:

• High School Diploma.

• Bartending, serving, or relative experience is generally preferred.

• Strong understanding of hospitality principles.

• Excellent customer service skills. 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.

• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.

• Decisiveness.

• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.

Job Type: Full-time / Part-Time

$14.00 - $17.00 an Hour Including Tips

Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Spoke & Hub is City Group Hospitality’s latest restaurant concept that blends a unique menu along with a historic
location on Government St., the heart of Baton Rouge. Based on culture changing improvements to the landscape
of Government St., Spoke & Hub will cater these changes where it is comfortable for all our loyal CGH friends in
the neighborhood to stroll on over or indulge the biking community following many of the trails that lead you to
the Brakes Bar, our speakeasy hidden in the back of the restaurant.
Casual concept, our version of the Contemporary Southern Diner, offering “Americana fare with a southern twist.”
Large outdoor patio, courtyard patio to relax after a bike ride, drinking beer and great cocktails, eating some of the
great contemporary diner fare and brunching. The converted house in the back is a hidden speakeasy club called
The Brakes Bar a fun unique twist. Great family atmosphere with an amazing dessert bar for the children and of
course we will be pet friendly for all of our furry friends.
