Education & Experience:
Required – Associate Degree in Nursing; Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Minimum of two years of clinical experience being in emergency nursing and/or acute
care nursing. Prefer management or supervisor experience.
The House Supervisor is a representative of patient care (20%) and hospital experience. administration (80%) on scheduled shifts. The position safeguards the quality of patient care, meeting the needs and goals of Spooner Health’s established philosophy, objectives, and policies to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. The House Supervisor is responsible for the management and coordination of hospital nursing departments and personnel in the absence of department directors.
Overall, the House Supervisor serves as an advocate for patient care and staff, assuring high quality patient care services are provided in accordance with Spooner Health’s mission/vision, values, service behaviors, policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements. The House Supervisor oversees effective patient placement, assures adequate staffing resources, safe and effective care delivery; assisting where needed, schedules outpatient infusion services and surgeries and addresses patient or family complaints in the absence of the department directors.
A daily shift report will be completed for the department director.
Licenses & Certifications: State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 monthsof hire and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire.
