What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Hospice Aide- North Territory position at Sprenger Health Care Systems?
Sprenger Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals that enjoy working with senior adults. As a STNA for Sprenger Hospice you will be responsible for providing basic patient care to promote patient comfort and support under the direction of a registered nurse.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide basic personal care needs according to the patient care plan and under the direction of an RN
- Documenting all duties in a timely manner
- Attending required in services
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- You must have at least 1 year experience with direct patient care in home health, hospice, hospitals, and/or a long-term care facility.
- Licensed by the state of Ohio; STNA must be in good standing
- Valid driver's license along with reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel between homes and facilities
- Must be able to work independently
- Clear criminal background check
- Demonstrates interest and empathy for the terminally ill and is comfortable with issues of death and dying
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with patients, families and colleagues

Qualifications:
- STNA (Required)
- Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred
- Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors.
- Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to electronic clinical record documentation.
- Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid drivers license and the required automobile insurance
