STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Hourly Salary Range: $43,188.10 annually
Status: Full Time
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with some flex evenings/weekends
Hours per pay period: 80
Location: Charles County, MD
We are looking for a self-motivated, extremely organized Staff Development Coordinator to join our team. This Coordinator position will ensure all aspects of Spring Dell Center training guidelines are delivered on a day-to-day basis while establishing respectable connections with outside agencies for training opportunities. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop and maintains a training documentation system that abides by state, federal and all training requirements set by the Office of Health Care Quality and, DDA.
- Generates and maintains employee training record database including expiration, required training, upcoming courses, training compliance and a list of required training for each staff member.
- Conducts organization-wide training needs assessment to identify skills and/or knowledge gaps
- Develops or arranges the training that is appropriate for adult learners; coordinates all arrangements for training: computer access, room, refreshments, speakers, audio/visual, etc.
- Develops new training materials and implements new approaches, such as new technology when evaluating existing training methods.
- Evaluates training by gathering staff input regarding the quality of training offered. Implementing any necessary changes to enhance training effectiveness and outcome measurements.
- Train Staff
- Evaluate training annually
- Knowledge of professional networking and establishes outside connections for training opportunities.
- Explores innovative training curriculum, monitors and schedules required training, coordinates trainers to teach courses and maintains all training files: computer and paper.
- Coordinate training outside agency when necessary

- Maintain digital copies of training records
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years’ experience with Data Entry in Microsoft Excel
- 2 years of Administrative or Management experience
- 2 years of training/teaching experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid US Driver’s license with 2 or more years driving experience
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (NOT Required)
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
- Ability to interact in a positive manner, understand and communicate quickly
- IT experience
- Advanced Computer Skills, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Knowledge of DDA Service Systems preferred
