Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
As a Lead Teacher at Chesterbrook Academy, you will be responsible for the coordination of all classroom operations including implementation of our proprietary curriculum. Our curriculum is literacy-based and structured, but also purposefully flexible. Teachers are encouraged to be creative and intentional when developing activities, you’ll have the professional freedom to ensure instructional decisions are based on students interests and needs. Our teams collaborate and build relationships with fellow staff members, school administration, families, and the community.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Complies with all company and state-specific standards and maintains validation of required credentials for the position.
Complies with all state-specific education requirements. Must have one of the following:
High School Diploma AND
Associate or bachelor’s Degree including 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or the Human Services field.
60 college credit hours including 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or the Human Services field.
30 college credit hours including 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or the Human Services field 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
Valid CDA credential or Montessori certification
