Job Overview:
- Contract Length: 185 Days
- Contract Hours: 7 hours per day
- Contracted Days Off: Off every Saturday and Sunday, One week off for the Thanksgiving Break, Two weeks off for Winter Break, One week off for Spring Break, and two and a half months off for Summer Break

Responsibilities:
1. Perform duties under the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act and adhere to HIPPA and FERPA Laws.
2. Conduct assessments to collect comprehensive health data relevant to students' situations.
3. Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and issues.
4. Identify expected outcomes and develop individualized plans to meet student or school needs.
5. Implement care plans through coordination, health teaching, promotion, and consultation.
6. Evaluate progress towards outcomes and adjust plans accordingly.
7. Act as a medical resource and advocate for student and staff health and safety.
8. Identify health care needs, safety concerns, and available resources within the school setting.
9. Provide instruction, counseling, training, and guidance on maintaining good health practices.
10. Collaborate with families, school staff, and external entities to address health-related barriers to learning.
11. Assist in preventing and controlling communicable diseases as per state regulations.
12. Maintain accurate health records in online charting programs.
13. Develop Individual Health Care Plans and Emergency Action Plans for at-risk students.
14. Train staff in CPR and emergency response procedures.
15. Participate in Medicaid billing when necessary.
16. Delegate tasks appropriately based on the nurse practice act.
17. Provide emergency care for accidents and sudden illnesses.
18. Document and report suspected child abuse as required by law.
19. Serve on the Health and Safety Committee within the assigned building.
20. Organize and manage health room equipment and supplies.
Screenings:
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings following state guidelines and school staffing requirements.
- Perform mass screenings as needed along with individualized screenings upon referral by teachers, parents, or transfer students for scoliosis and BMI assessments.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Dermal fillers
- Experience in Home care
- Familiarity with Nursing home procedures
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Previous experience as a nurse in Dementia care
- Familiarity with Athenahealth software
- Experience in an Outpatient healthcare setting
- Exposure to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) environment
