What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meals on Wheels Lead Driver - Part Time position at Springwell?
Our Newton meals on wheels program is looking for an individual to join our team as a Lead Driver. As the Lead Driver you will be coordinating the receiving and distribution of approximately 250 meals per day to our team of employees and volunteers along with delivering a meal route yourself.
This part time position (25 hours/wk, Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-1:30pm) offers $20.00/hour and is a benefit eligible position which includes paid holiday, sick and vacation time. Mileage reimbursement is also provided.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is flexible, detail oriented, and enjoys a fast-paced work setting. Knowledge of the geographical area and comfortable working with computer applications preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A reliable car, current driver's license, and safe driving record required.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with elders.
- Some experience with elders, preferred.
- Knowledge of geographic area a plus.
