Childcare Daycare Teacher Twos

The teacher is responsible for implementing our fun Thematic teaching. Teacher's must operate as a team player.

The twos LOVE to sing and dance and move around. We are looking for a fun loving individual to join our Twos classroom. You will be supported by having three staff in the classroom for most of the day, as well as the daily visits of our Specialists.

At Sprout, we believe in educating the whole child. We have invested in daily Specialists that come into each classroom to teach Art/Music, Creative Movement, Early Language Arts Specialist and Nature/Nurture Specialists. Dance and Yoga teachers visit each week.

*Continue to develop self regulation skills through actively seeking the reasons why a child is feeling their emotion

*Speak in nuturing tones to encourage provider/child bonds

*Reinforce the language the child needs to work through the emotion

*Dine with the children, and encourage communication at the tables

*Interact with the children during indoor and outdoor free choice times

*Model respect and kindness

*Help keep the classroom clean, tidy and sanitized

*Work as a member of the team as taking part in all classroom duties

An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or 1 year Teaching Twos in a group childcare center.

A strong understanding of child development and social emotional development..

Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.

Must be passionate about children

Must be qualified to be a Lead Teacher

Must complete the new foundational courses (provided by Sprout Early Learning)

Knowledge of Early Childhood Neuroscience Research

Knowledge of Conscious Discipline

Competitive Pay Range: $17-$20/hour
