Practice Manager – Pediatric Dental Office
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pediatric dental practice. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and patient-focused environment while maintaining strong operational and financial performance. Job Summary
The Practice Manager leads all aspects of non-clinical operations, working closely with clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional service to our patients and families. This position requires the ability to manage people, processes, and systems effectively while fostering a positive team culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the dental office, including scheduling, patient flow, and front desk administration
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance management
- Implement and maintain practice management systems to optimize workflow and patient experience
- Manage financial operations including budgets, payroll coordination, billing, and accounts receivable
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, state and federal standards)
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care delivery
- Monitor and enforce office policies and procedures to support operational excellence and patient satisfaction
- Supervise inventory management and vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement of supplies and equipment
- Support internal and external communication efforts, including social media and local marketing
- Facilitate daily staff meetings and weekly staff trainings
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in dental, healthcare, or veterinary office management
- Proficient in practice management software (Carestack or similar) and general office systems
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a collaborative approach
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Solid understanding of healthcare compliance, patient care protocols, and financial performance metrics
